Sporting or hunting Shot gun made by Westley Richards.
Using a Percussion cap, these were invented by Frederick Forsyth in 1809.
Made during the Reign of William 1V during the 1830's

  • Hi,this looks to be a smooth bored percussion shot gun and not a musket.Both guns are smooth bored,a musket is proofed to fire a heavy charge for ball but could also fire shot,a shot gun is generally only proofed for a lighter charge to fire shot.
