OSRAM CMG8 PHOTO CELL VALVE, 1937

Osram CMG8 or CV1432 early Photo Cell,of the Caesium type Gas filled. Designed for acoustic reproduction and general purpose applications.

Your comments:

  • I came across one of these valves from a house clearance in the 1980's. It is still in its original wooden blue velvet lined box which is covered in simulated black leather. The valve does dot have the CMG8 marking but marked as 'GEC Ltd TYPE(blank) OSRAM PHOTO CELL' and what may be a Serial No. 5075 printed vertically.
