  • I have a similar switchboard operator headset and a metal triangle chest plate close to this picture. The headphone and plug is intact. The plug has a patent in U.S.A. Sept. 24, 1912 with a number 137 on it. I know it came from Chicago, Ill. and was used in the 40's by my mother, and probably earlier. None of the sets I have seen look like the one I have.
