WW1 ERICSSON FIELD TELEPHONE, 1908

Used in WW1 as trench phone D Mk 1 Ericsson patented this type of phone in 1895

Your comments:

  • I have one of these phones, but the microphone is smooth with the sound entering around the edge, and the earpiece has a "nick" in it which is obviously original, possibly to locate the phone against a tin hat. I also have drum of single telephone wire, mounted on a wooden frame to facilitate running out,(ww1 dated).
