PIXIE PHONE, 1950's

Toy gramophone with records of nursery rhymes and short stories. Made as a cheap novelty for children during the late 1940's 50's.

Your comments:

  • We had one of these when I was little, but it also had a large plastic lighted dome over which we could place "sleeves" which had pictures of the nursery rhymes on them. As the dome turned with the turntable, it would "animate" the pictures. I would love to find one of these again or even to see a pciture of it
