CROSS SWITCHING PANEL, 1970's

Cross-switching circuit board having 16 rows up and 16 rows across. Nothing is known about this item, which was given to the Museum by Nortel (STC) and may have been part of a crossbar type telephone exchange. Each solenoid operates at the standard line telephone voltage of 50 volts, but for a short period only as the coil starts to overheat very quickly. It has an edge connection on the end for plugging into a frame of possibly more cards.
