CAMBRIDGE PORTABLE pH METER, 1940

A pH meter is an electronic instrument used to measure the pH (acidity or alkalinity) of a liquid. It works by comparing the unknown liquid to a known solution in the equipment. These units are rarely found complete, as the glass elements are, after use, in such poor condition that they are often discarded.
Cambridge Instruments was founded in 1881 by Horace Darwin son of Charles Darwin.

Your comments:

  • A pH meter measure Hydrogen Ion concentrations in liquids not moisture.
